Regent Ronald H Lawson

Regent Ronald H. Lawson is an attorney from Spiro. He serves as municipal attorney for six towns and is a municipal judge for three. He is a member of the LeFlore County and Oklahoma bar associations.

He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Law. In 1977, he received his master’s degree from East Central State University in Ada.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Lawson was a high school history teacher and basketball coach in Hunter and Okemah.

Lawson has served on the Spiro Chamber of Commerce, the Spiro School Foundation for Excellence, and the advisory committee for the Kiamichi Technology Center in Spiro. He is a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fort Smith and has served several years on the Vestry.

Ron is married to Karen A. Lawson, a middle school counselor for Spiro Schools. They have two children.
