Welcome to the On-line course resource for Biology: Life on Earth 4/E.

Welcome to General Biology 1114 on the web. This is a fairly new concept on the web and is a new voyage for me. I will instruct you on a week by week basis. Check the course menu for instructions. I will outline what is to be done on a weekly basis. You cannot get behind or you will never catch up. You must be disciplined to keep up with the labs as we go. Do not procrastinate. The labs will be time consuming, just like I teach here at the college. If you know somebody else taking the course that are close enough that you can study together you may work labs together and share a lab book. You will turn in that lab book with both of your names in it at the end of the semester. You can e-mail (dwann@carlalbert.edu) or call (918-647-1238)  me when you do have a question. If you are in the class, PLEASE e-mail me in the web-ct e-mail. I will get that e-mail at home or on vacation. You will mail (Carl Albert State College-c/o Danny Wann  box 410  1507 South McKenna  Poteau, OK 74953 )or hand deliver ( I recommend hand delivery, it gives you more time to work on the lab.) the entire lab book to me, postmarked no later than the instructions tell you. ( If you hand deliver you should get a receipt from the person in the mail room that takes your lab book. If you mail it, I would use a tracking number.) This mail-in cannot be late for you to get your complete grade. There will be problems; although, I will try to keep those minimal.

You will learn as much as you want to. You can be lazy and still pass but this class is designed for you to spend lots of time researching and studying even beyond what the book says. I believe you will find this course not only challenging and rewarding but extremely fair to all who are in it. Thank you for accepting the challenge and if you have any questions please e-mail or call. (dwann@carlalbert.edu) (918-647-1238)
