Students must
purchase a USB storage drive
(sometimes called jump drives,
thumb drives, or flash drives)
for storage of classroom project
files. These devices hold
anywhere from 32 megabytes to 2
gigabytes, while floppy disks
hold only 1.44 megabytes.
The new drives are also much
more reliable than the floppy
disks, which tend to crash.
They are available from the CASC
Bookstore or form most stores
that sell computer storage
devices.
