Admission Criteria

Applicants are selected in the Radiologic Technology Program according to a total point system.  Points will be tabulated and students will be ranked based upon point accumulation.  Admission will be granted based upon the student's points until the class is filled.  (The Program's capacity is based upon clinical assignments available and may vary year to year.)

  A minimum of three (3) alternates will be selected.

Applications are available on October 1st of each year and the application process must be completed by February 1st. 
Must either be picked up from the Health Science Building or requested to be mailed to you.

Admission requirements and the point system are detailed below.
(Applicants who have been arrested and/or convicted of a felony offense, drug or alcohol related offense, or certain offenses involving moral turpitude (i.e. larceny) prior to admission to the Radiologic Technology Program are considered on an individual basis by the Admissions Committee.

No applicant may be admitted to the Associate in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology Program who has not or will not complete any parole and/or probationary requirements prior to the application deadline.

Graduates of this Program are qualified to sit for the certification exam given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).  If you have been convicted of a felony, please contact the ARRT to determine eligibility for certification.

If an applicant for the ARRT exam is convicted between the time of application and the exam administration date, it is the applicant's responsibility to inform the ARRT immediately in order to begin the review process.)
