There are several ways you can enter the profession and gain advanced
education.
- Obtain a certificate from a non-degree granting program
such as those offered through Indian Capital Technology Center

- Obtain an associate degree from programs such as the
one offered at Carl Albert State College. Other institutions offering associate

www.rose.edu and the
University of Arkansas Fort Smith

- Obtain a baccalaureate degree from an entry level
baccalaureate program such as the one offered by the University of Oklahoma

- Technologists registered in one of the imaging and
therapeutic disciplines can alsoobtain a baccalaureate degree from universities such as the
University of Oklahomawww.ou.edu.
- Radiographers with clinical experience can progress
into advanced practice by becoming a Radiology Practitioner Assistant through programs
such as those offered by Weber State University

Radiologist Assistant through programs such as those offered by Loma
Linda University www.llu.edu in Southern California. Additional programs are being planned and
should be implemented in the near future. The
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) also offers advanced
degrees in radiologic technology.
