What is the application process for on-campus housing?
The first step is to complete the Housing Application, which is available in hard copy format from the Office for Student Affairs ot the CASC Admissions packet, or as a file download from this web site. After completing the application, students must return it to the Office for Student Affairs. If accepted into residential housing, the Residential Life Director will send a housing/meal contract and a roommate request form. Send both completed forms and a $75 housing deposit back to the Office for Student Affairs. The application process is then complete. All residential students must be enrolled as full-time students and have a minimum of a Fourteen Meal Plan through the CASC Food Service.
Is there a deadline for applying for housing?
There is no deadline for housing applications; however, the earlier you return your completed application, the better your chances of receiving a dorm room. All assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so please return your paperwork early.
When are room assignments sent?
All room assignments are sent mid-July. You will receive both your tentative room and roommate assignment. It will also include information on your roommate so you may contact them before school begins.
Can I sign a housing contract for a semester only?
All housing contracts are for an academic year (fall semester spring semester). Therefore, if you live in CASC housing for the fall semester and wish to break your contract for the spring semester, you will be required to pay for the spring semester unless a replacement is found for your position.
Can I change my roommate request after my roommate has already been assigned?
Yes, you can make roommate changes if: 1) both parties consent to the request and, 2) you submit your request in writing or by e-mail. Please note that if your roommate changes are requested AFTER assignments have been made, it is very difficult to accommodate those changes
