The Students in Free Enterprise Living Centers

The Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Living Centers provide 80 students with an opportunity to learn about the free enterprise system and to experience the unique academic and social environment of on-campus life.  In addition to the traditional college courses, students learn through special seminars and interaction with the business community about the free enterprise system and its vast, exciting possibilities for them as future business, industry and entrepreneurial leaders of tomorrow.

Each room in the Free Enterprise Living Center includes the following:

Qualifications

A student may apply for the Free Enterprise Living Center by completing and returning the Housing Application.

A student’s application package will be complete and considered for selection when all required paperwork has been submitted.  Only single students will qualify for residence in the Free Enterprise Living Centers due to the limited number of rooms.

Applications are available in the Office for Student Affairs, Room 150 of Hemphill Hall or by calling (918) 647-1372.

AES/SIFE Program

One of the benefits of the Free Enterprise Living Centers will be the option to participate in the AES/Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Program which can help residents increase creative individual and team-building leadership skills. Sponsored by AES Shady Point, Inc., “Students In Free Enterprise” (SIFE) is a non-profit national student organization supported by individuals, foundations, and corporations whose mission is to build collegiate SIFE Teams which teach free enterprise in order to better the quality of life for individuals, communities, and countries.

SIFE is college and university students learning, teaching, and practicing free enterprise through participation in educational outreach projects, fund-raisers, and regional and national competitions and job fairs. Thanks to the generous contributions from the late Lattie and Nell Hoyle (pictured left), CASC provides the Nell and Lattie Hoyle Free Enterprise Living Center for student housing.
