Official enrollment in CASC Web Course must be done through the official course registration procedure using the CASC Portal. 
 After you have officially enrolled in the course, you will need to complete the following steps to register for a course login account.

Self Registration for WebCT courses will not be open until the first official day of class.

  1. Complete official registration using the CASC Portal and enroll in  web course through CASC Portal (returing students), Office of Admissions, or advisor.
  2. Create your WebCT account using the following steps and with a self-created login (preferably your Student User ID and Pin Code #). Add the correct course & section to your WebCT account.
  3. Make sure that you do not have popup blockers running on your machine. WebCT will not work with popup blockers because many of the tools open in new windows
  4. Follow the WebCT Login link.  Your screen should look like the screen capture shown here. You may have an active x control or java popup at this screen, always allow these.WebCT Login
  5. If you have not yet created a login account, choose the Create Account button (only one account needed per student).
  6. Enter a username that you will use from now on for your account: Please note that this username will be visible to everyone in your web course.  Never use your social security number for your username. CASC strongly recommends for ease of access and more reliable security that you use your User ID and Pin Code for your Username  and Password.
  7. Fill in the remaining information in the applicable boxes (Please enter your email address, this will help if you forget your password.)
  8. Choose Save to save your information
  9. You now have a login for CASC's web course tool, but you will not be able to log in to a course until you add a course link to you MyWebCT page
  10. Before classes begin, use the Check Browser button on the WebCT login screen to make sure your browser settings and java are compatible.
  11.  By the first day of classes, all web courses should open for self-registration.  Keep in mind that self registration for login privileges is not the same as enrolling in the course.  You must be enrolled through CASC Portal before you self register for login privileges in WebCT.
  12.  On the first day classes are scheduled to begin, log in to your WebCT account
  13. Click on the View Course List button
  14. Select the appropriate Category
  15. Select the green arrow beside the Course Name to expand the selections
  16. Locate the course with the correct instructor and(or) section number since there are multiple sections of some courses and some have different instructors.
  17. If the course is open for self-registration/login, you will see an icon such as the one here. Self Registration icon
  18. Double click the icon, on the new page input your username and password, and select the "Register" button.
  19. A new link to the course will appear on your MyWebCT account start page.
  20. To log in to the course, simply select the link for the desired course in your course list.
  21. Note: Students who do not log in to class within the first week will be counted as no-shows and dropped from the course.
