Brennen Nicholas Swift – Student Success at Carl Albert State College
Brennen Nicholas Swift’s goal to become a Register Nurse is what brought him to Carl Albert State College, and this spring he will graduate with an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing and be ready to enter the health care profession.
From Pocola, Nick is the son of Terry of Robbie Richardson. In addition to spending much of his time in pursuit of his degree, Nick also spent time as a member of the Carl Albert Cheer Squad and states his time as a cheerleader is what he will miss most as he completes his time at Carl Albert.
“I have a plan for my future that holds several steps that may eventually lead me back to Carl Albert. I want to work as an RN on a General Med Surgical floor or Acute Care setting to practice my skills learned in the nursing program. I want to pursue a BSN within the next few years and then a MSN degree. With my MSN I want to be certified as a practitioner and also have the credentials to become a Nurse Educator at CASC.”
When discussing the perks of attending Carl Albert, Swift stated, “Carl Albert State College provides an affordable quality education with a small student to teacher ratio that is very difficult to find. The staff members are very personable and will do whatever they can to help. Coming from a small school, I found Carl Albert to be a very nice transition. Carl Albert’s affordable price tag and quality education make it a great choice.”
