The Carl Albert State College Carter Lecture Series on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 was standing room only to hear David L. Boren deliver the keynote address.

Boren served as Governor of Oklahoma from 1974 to 1978, as a U.S. Senator from 1979 to 1994, and then became the thirteenth President of the University of Oklahoma in November 1994. He is the first person in state history to have served in all three positions.

CASC President Jay Falkner stated, “We are really excited to be able to hold the Carter Lecture Series this year, and appreciate President Boren serving as our distinguished speaker.”   Falkner continued, “The lecture series has been a big part of this institution over the years, and we feel it is important to do all we can to host it as often as possible.”

President Falkner concluded, “We were very pleased to see so many in attendance from across our region.  It is always an honor to have people visit our campus and take advantage of programs and events we provide.”
