Carl Albert State College Nursing Students Attain 100% Pass Rate on Candidate Exam

The Oklahoma Board of Nursing announced that Carl Albert State College nursing students attained a 100% pass rate on the First-Time NCLEX-RN Candidate Exam.

“Twenty five students from the Poteau campus and 8 from the Sallisaw campus took and passed the exam on their first try,” stated CASC Nursing Program Director Abbie Bailey.  ‘For the class of 2014 students taking the test, the national average was 81.79% and the Oklahoma average was 83.55%.   We are very proud of the accomplishments of the Carl Albert State College students.” Bailey concluded, “We were one of only six programs in the state with a 100% pass rate on this national exam.  This isn’t the first time our students made the 100% either.  We have accomplished this mark several times over the past years, and I believe this speaks volumes for the preparation level of our students as they complete our nursing program.”
