Carl Albert State College Radiologic Technology Department Provides Kettering Registry Review Seminar for Students
Carl Albert State College Radiologic Technology students were recently provided assistance in preparing for the Radiologic Technology Certification Examination that is a requirement for entry into their career path.
Midge Blue, Clinical Coordinator and Instructor explained, “I received the Dr. Jack Gedosh Endowed Professorship this year and was able to host the Kettering Registry Review Seminar on our campus for the second year. This was very exciting for our program, our students and our clinical affiliates. This seminar allows registered technologists that work with our students to attend free of charge, as well as provide a way for them to receive 13 continuing education credits. Several programs were invited to participate, and we were pleased to have Sherrie Jones, Edmond, OK, Kristan Abbott, Edmond, OK, Dorothy Carter, Lawton, OK, Han Lam, Tulsa, OK and Peter McNeal, Fort Hood, Texas in attendance.” The seminar was led by Derek Gardner with Kettering National Seminars.
The review provides CASC students a comprehensive review of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology as well as a step-by-step method of preparation for successful completion of the certification exam. Blue concluded, “We anticipate a high percentage pass rate with the 2014 graduates. The Radiologic Technology Program has a 90% pass rate over the past five years for our graduates taking the examination for the first time. I believe this is an indicator of how beneficial the endowed professorship program is when we are able to help our students prepare for the exam.”
