CASC Library Announces Winners of First Annual CASC Duck Calling Contest
The Carl Albert State College Joe E. White Library staff hosted the First Annual CASC Duck Calling Contest. Four employees and four students participated in the competition. A highlight of the event was that Stephen Billy, A CASC Alumnus and Flextone Pro Staff Member, was the judge and helped determine the winners. Billy’s expertise includes that he was the winner of the 2002 Duck Commander Duck Calling Contest.
Winners of the Carl Albert contest include:
1st place – Dustin Tobey of Hartford, Business Administration Major
2nd place – Jordan Mings of Whitesboro, Enrolled in Physical Therapist Assistant Program
3rd place – Bill Carroll, Director of Physical Therapist Assistant Education Program
Terri Carroll, Director of CASC Libraries, stated, “We host a variety of events throughout the year to let students and the community know that the library is about a lot of different things. We definitely have something to offer everyone. The duck calling display in the library and the calling contest brought a group of students into the library that may not normally visit the library.” She continued, “We were pleased with the interest shown by the participants, and also excited to have a nice crowd show up to watch the event.”
