CASC Open House for Adults – November 15th
Carl Albert State College will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE FOR ADULTS on November 15, 2016. The event will be at Hemphill Hall on the Poteau campus between 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
According to CASC Vice President for Enrollment Jennifer Humphreys, “We know how busy life is, so we decided to provide a special time for adults to stop by to get ready for college.” She continued, “We will have food, drinks, door prizes and we are even offering child care at the Open House. The kids can play (we will have a bouncy house!) while you apply for admissions, enroll for spring semester, and apply for financial aid.”
The Open House is provided by the CASC Enrollment Center and the CASC Educational opportunity Center (EOC). EOC is one of the TRIO programs at CASC and is funded by the U.S. Department of Education with a budget of $510,799 to serve 1675 students. Humphreys shared, “We are able to host this event because of a grant we have from the Women’s Foundation of Oklahoma. We are very fortunate to have funding from this grant, and look forward to seeing the results of opportunities it provides students at CASC.”
If financial aid assistance is needed, attendees are encouraged to call the EOC office at 918-647-1396 to schedule an appointment for personal help applying for financial aid.
Humphreys concluded, “We are very excited to host this event, and look forward to helping many of our community members take the necessary steps to be CASC students.” For information, call 918-647-1264.
