CASC’S EVELD NAMED NJCAA REGION 2 DI SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Lindsey Eveld, a sophomore pitcher for the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings, has been named the NJCAA Region 2 DI Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Eveld is a 2016 graduate of Southside High School in Ft. Smith, Ark. and has been recognized for her outstanding athletic performance on the mound the week of April 16-22, 2018.

‘While this award is a testament to Lindsey’s individual performance,” said Randy Graves, CASC Athletic Director, “she is also a tremendous team player. Her appreciation for her fellow Viking teammates and their ability to work together is what makes awards like this possible for our students.”

In a 3 game span versus NOC-Tonkawa, NEO A&M, and Connors State College, Eveld maintained a 3-0 record with 2 shutouts and 16 K’s.

“I am proud to have student athletes like Lindsey,” said Jay Falkner, President of CASC. “These individuals represent our institution well, on and off the field. I’m thrilled to have another CASC player recognized by NJCAA for their athletic performance.”
