Regent Deanna Reed was appointed to the Carl Albert State College Board of Regents in 2013, to serve a 7 year term ending July 1, 2020. Carl Albert State College Regent Deanna J. Reed is one of CASC’s greatest benefactors and supporters. She and her husband, Bob, are longtime contributors to the Adopt-a-Scholar Program and numerous other scholarships. Deanna has been instrumental in the success of the annual Holiday Gold Dust Gala, an event that raises thousands of dollars for the Carl Albert State College Foundation. As a key supporter of the Miss CASC Pageant, Deanna assists with various aspects of the pageant each year, including hosting an elegant luncheon at her home for the contestants. Deanna has served as a CASC Regent since 1999, is on the LeFlore County Literacy Council, and was the first woman chair of the Southeastern Chapter of the Red Cross. She is a member of the Poteau Classy Ladies, and is a member of the Choctaw Tribe. She was named Woman of the Year in 1995 by the Business and Professional Women of Poteau, and in addition, Deanna was honored at the 2007 Poteau Chamber of Commerce Banquet with the prestigious Poteau Lifetime Achievement Award.
