Enrollment: Online Student

If you are enrolling in all online classes with CASC and expect to receive your degree completely online, then, you are classified as an Online Student. You may call CASC’s Director of the Virtual Campus who can assist you in enrollment by phone: 918-647-1471 or email: sbrown@carlalbert.edu.

The Academic Calendar is the official calendar of dates the college will begin and end classes, show the last day to withdraw from classes with refund, holidays, and other important dates. The Expanded Academic Calendar is posted online and found in our college Catalog and Course Schedules. For enrollment purposes, the following table shows a list of those dates the campus is expected to be closed and unavailable for enrollment. So, plan your visit accordingly!

Enrollment Counselors will enroll the student into the recommended first semester courses using the degree plan published in their academic area of interest (for example Allied Health, Business Administration, …). Students are typically enrolled into ORI 1111 Freshman Orientation, CS 1103 Microcomputer Applications, ENGL 1113, and any/all remedial course requirements.

Full time enrollment is considered 12 credit hours for academic reasons and financial aid full-time benefit funding. However, CASC strongly encourages student to THINK 16 or 16 credit hours enrollment in the fall and spring terms. Since most associate degree programs require a total of 62 credit hours and most students expect to spend 4 semesters with CASC, then, the math works out to about 15 to 16 credit hours per term (i.e. five 3 credit hour courses a semester).

We understand that life happens and that not everyone will take 16 credit hours in a term and it may take you more than 4 semesters to complete your degree. So, plan your per semester enrollment with your final goal in mind. You will find our associate and certificate programs under the Academics heading online, with a semester by semester guide to aid you in degree planning.
