Four CASC Softball Players Named to NJCAA Region II Team

Four Carl Albert State College softball players have been named to the NJCAA All-Region, Region II Teams.

Kyla Brown, of Wister. Okla., has been named to the First Team as an All-Region Catcher; Katie McCullar, of Red Oak, Okla., has been named to the Second Team as an All-Region Infielder; Nikki Harrison, of Waldron, Ark., has received Honorable Mention as an All-Region Infielder; Lindsey Eveld, of Ft. Smith, Ark., has received Honorable Mention as an All-Region Pitcher.

These athletes are selected by regional coaches for their athletic performance and statistics throughout the spring season. Nine softball teams throughout Arkansas and Oklahoma compete in the Region II division, ensuring a highly competitive selection process for the Region II Teams.

This is the first time in several years that CASC has had four players named to the Region II Teams.

“The competition in our division is remarkable,” said David Holt, CASC Head Softball Coach. “To have one athlete voted to an All-Region team is the highest accomplishment for a coach; to have four athletes selected, well that’s a true testament to the caliber of our student athletes and I could not be more proud of our ladies.”
