Make Plans to Attend a Free Financial Aid Informative Workshop for Adults and Veterans

 A free financial aid information workshop for adults and veterans is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be at Patrick Lynch Public Library in the Community Room. The Library is located at 206 S. McKenna Avenue in Poteau, Oklahoma.

Kelly Kellogg, Carl Albert State College EOC Director stated, “Please join us for an informative workshop about applying for federal financial aid. The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), which is a federal program funded by the US Department of Education, will present valuable information.”

Topics will include:

*Understanding the free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA),

*Applying for Federal Student Aid

*Unraveling Educational Opportunities for Veteran

Special presenters will include EOC Military-Connection Specialist MSgt. Marvin A. Wilson, USAF, Retired, with crucial veteran educational information.  Also on hand will be a Carl Albert State College representative who will discuss two exciting new degree possibilities at Carl Albert. Occupational Health and Safety Technician and Health Information Technology are set to begin in the fall of 2015 pending state regent approval.
