McCroskey Speaker At Higher Education Day on behalf of Carl Albert State College
The 2014 Higher Education Day at the State Capitol took place on February 11, 2014. Shannen McCroskey, a sophomore social science major at Carl Albert State College, was one of four students from across the state chosen to speak at the event.
Chancellor Glen D. Johnson of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education welcomed students, college personnel, and Oklahoma senators and representatives in attendance.
Carl Albert State College was represented by President Garry M. Ivey, Regent Jerry Hetherington, Vice President of Business Operations Jim Hurst, Director of Public Relations/Marketing Judi White, and Director of Enrollment Jay Falkner. Six additional CASC students attended the event, and prior to going to the Capitol had lunch with area senators and representatives.
