MISS CARL ALBERT SERVES AREA SCHOOLS, PREPARES FOR MISS OKLAHOMA

Maci Crandell, the reigning Miss Carl Albert, has had a busy few weeks!  Crandell has been busy serving area schools and preparing for the upcoming Miss Oklahoma Competition.  Most recently, Crandell participated in Read Across America Week.  During the week of March 2-6, she was a guest reader at Monroe, Poteau, Heavener, and Cameron schools.  Crandell read a different Dr. Seuss book at each school, then shared with the students her experience as Miss CASC, shared information about her Social Impact Initiative:  ALICE Training, and also answered fun questions from the students like “does she sleep in her crown, or does she live in a castle?”

Crandell is also diligently preparing for the upcoming Miss Oklahoma competition!  She has been working on getting her registration packet ready to send in, which includes the official contract for entering the Miss Oklahoma Competition, a one-page Social Impact Initiative Essay, and a resume.

The last few weeks she has also been visiting local business to sell Salute Page Ads for the Miss Oklahoma Program Book.  The ad pages are personalized showing support to Miss CASC at the Miss Oklahoma Competition.

The Miss Oklahoma Competition is scheduled for the week of May 30-June 6, in Tulsa.  Crandell will compete in On Stage Interview, Talent, and Evening Wear.  During the Evening Wear competition, she will give a 20 second statement regarding her Social Impact Initiative, ALICE Training: Citizen Response to a Violent Intruder.  For the talent portion, she will perform a vocal titled, “Never Enough”
