Senior Day at Carl Albert State College
Well over 500 high school seniors attended the annual Carl Albert State College Senior Day in Poteau. In addition to other activities on campus, a drawing at the event awarded scholarships from the CASC Foundation to two students in attendance.
A $500 scholarship went to Tyler Corbit from Kinta, and Carie Faries from Stigler received a $1000 scholarship. The scholarships were presented by CASC Director of High School/College Relations Leroy Nolan, and Kathy Quirk from the CASC Foundation.
Information regarding academics, enrollment, and student activities was provided along with entertainment by the CASC New Horizon Show Choir. The guests toured campus during the morning and were invited to lunch at the Costner-Balentine Student Center. Students were provided time to meet with faculty members to ask specific questions, and everyone in attendance received a CASC shirt.
CASC Enrollment and Retention Specialist Jennifer Humphreys stated, “Senior Day was a complete success with a record number of students and schools represented. It is always a fun day to introduce new students to all the great programs and people at Carl Albert State College.”
