The 7th Annual Carl Albert State College Harvest Carnival was Thursday, October 6, 2016. The festivities were at the Mick Thompson Fieldhouse on the Poteau campus.
Hosted by the President’s Leadership Class with assistance from the CASC Scholars, athletes and CASC staff, this is an event for special needs students from schools throughout the region. The event includes games, prizes, bounce house, crafts, food, music, face painting, and much more.
According to CASC Vice President of Enrollment Jennifer Humphreys, “This year we had well over 70 students in attendance along with around 35 sponsors for this fantastic event. Year after year our leadership students come through in making this a great day at Carl Albert.” Humphreys added, “This would not be possible without the combined efforts of so many to make it a success. Wister and Spiro Fire Departments helped out, along with Victory Worship Center, Kibois Head Start and many local businesses. We received around $2,000 in monetary donations to make the day possible, and to everyone involved we say a very big thank you.”
