Vike @ Nite Results
The annual Carl Albert State College Vike@Nite on October 23, 2014 had 205 entrants and 171 timed finishers. The race took place on a USATF Certified Course and is a USATF Sanctioned Race.
Joshua Snyder of Poteau was first to cross the finish line, followed by Cianan Kuhl of Muldrow in second, Samuel Young of Poteau in third, and BJ Johnson of Poteau in fourth. These first four all finished with chip and gun times under 20 minutes. The first female across the line and ninth overall was Jami Hackler of Poteau, followed closely by Hali Repass of Poteau in tenth overall. The third female to finish was Kristin Snyder of Poteau.
Of the participants, 47 males completed the event with their ages ranging from 6 to 67. 124 females completed the run ranging in age from 6 to 69.
Hali Repass expressed appreciation to all the participants as well as all those who worked behind the scenes to make the event a success. “Special thanks to Community State Bank for cooking hamburgers and hot dogs. Also to Hamilton, Warren, Bovos & Adams for providing fruit; and Latham Land Services for providing water. And of course thanks to the College for all the many helpers and for providing soft drinks.”
